Privacy policy
Last updated: 21 October 2026
This page explains what the Lumyo website collects when you join the waitlist, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers this website only. The Lumyo app will have its own policy when it launches.
Who is responsible
Lumyo is run by its founder, Vlad Tiganila, who decides how your data is used (the “controller” under the GDPR). You can reach us at the contact address at the end of this page.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you join the waitlist. Nothing else is asked for.
- Basic request logs kept by our hosting provider, Vercel: IP address, browser type and the page requested. Vercel uses them to run and protect the service and keeps them for a short period.
We don't use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies.
Why we use it
We use your email address only to tell you when Lumyo launches and to send related updates about getting access. We don't sell it, share it for marketing, or add it to other lists.
The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by submitting the form. You can withdraw it at any time, and every email we send will include a way to unsubscribe.
Where it is stored
- Waitlist emails are stored in a database run by Upstash, Inc.
- The website is hosted by Vercel Inc.
Both act as our processors under data processing agreements. Some of their infrastructure is in the United States; transfers there rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the EU's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until Lumyo launches and you've been invited, and for up to 12 months after that so we can send launch updates. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, we remove it within 30 days.
Cookies and local storage
This website sets no cookies. If you use the light/dark switch, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the name “lumyo-theme” so the page remembers it. It never leaves your device, and you can clear it from your browser settings.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy of it, or object to how we use it. You can also withdraw your consent at any time. To do any of this, email us from the address you signed up with.
If you think we've handled your data wrongly, you can complain to your local data protection authority. In Romania that is the ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro).
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how we use your email address, we'll tell you by email before it applies.
